![]() ![]() While the story isn’t my favorite part, I appreciate that Hazelight Studios tried to do something interesting with its protagonists Cody and May, an on-the-rocks husband-and-wife duo. There’s local and online multiplayer support, and if you don’t have someone nearby to buddy up with, you can team up with a long-distance partner using a free Friend’s Pass. So, is it worth your time? It Takes Two is arguably one of the year’s best games, and as an exclusively co-op experience, that makes it one of the year’s best co-op games, too. It’s on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.Īt the low end, you can sub to EA Play for $4.99 for just one month, get in, and get out. The full game is a part of EA Play and specifically Game Pass Ultimate ( which includes EA Play) as of November 4, 2021. ![]() You can play It Takes Two with your EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. I don’t regret it! If you’ve been patiently waiting all along, now’s your chance. I originally intended to hold off playing It Takes Two until it was included with EA Play, but word-of-mouth snowballed shortly after launch and I was too into co-op gaming to wait any longer. Just the new formatting of the offerIDs should be enough to start games by URI.Circle back to play Unravel Two after you’re done (Edit: I realized I had forgotten to test just launching the URI through Windows - and that works, too, so it doesn't need to be explicitly passed to EALauncher.exe. ![]() I haven't figured out where those various IDs and parameters are being sourced from, however. EALauncher.exe (in the same folder as the main EA Desktop executable) can be used to launch games (including automatically starting EA Desktop, if it's not running already) by passing an origin2:// URI to it, but the formatting of the offerIds parameter seems to have changed from Origin.įor example, from what I can tell the URI constructed by Playnite for Dead Space is origin2://game/launch/?offerIds=DR:105641400 (I might be wrong - this was from a glance at the code only), but the new URI used to launch via EA Desktop (stripped of everything that doesn't seem absolutely necessary - EA Desktop spits out an error with any less) is origin2://game/launch/?offerIds=1002975,1003943,1009227,1009228,deadspace_na,deadspace_eu1,deadspace_eu2,deadspace_eu3. ![]()
